I’m Halycopter. Many of you might know me from Twitch but you might have also stumbled across this place.
I’ve been writing professionally about technology since 2010 and been using it since the 1990s. I’ve been fortunate to write about my biggest passion in life for a living, but it can be fairly restrictive.
That’s why I launched Halycopter Tech. Halycopter + Tech, right? In my time streaming, I’ve been asked what I recommend for all kinds of products. I figured the best solution is to write about them here.
What is Halycopter Tech all about?
Throughout this site, you’ll find short reviews of products that I’ve used. If I’m writing about it here, it’s worth checking out but we all have individual tastes. I’ve tried to look at every situation and bear in mind that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution here.
You’ll find short reviews of headphones, earphones, gaming headsets, speakers, random peripherals, mice, keyboards, smartwatches, you name it, it’ll likely be here. Over time, there will also be news articles about cool things coming out soon. Anything I haven’t used yet, I’ll let you know!
All the product listings contain affiliate links so I do make a small amount of money if you choose to buy via the link, but everything I write is truly independent and honest. I’m only recommending something here if I’d also use it myself or recommend it to a friend or family member.
If you want to support these efforts in a more direct way, you can tip via my Ko-Fi page or subscribe to my Patreon. It’s your call! There will be reminders scattered across the website but there’s never any obligation. The priority here is to provide you with useful insight, all thanks to my experience with such tech.
Oh! And one final disclaimer – everything here is hand-written. Just like the good old days before AI summaries ruled all and we all ended up questioning whether someone had actually written an article or whether a prompt had been pushed through AI. That will never change here!
Welcome in. Enjoy finding your new piece of tech!
